Will Denny Hamlin overtake Jeff Gordon when the Chase roars to PIR?

30 days hath September, and with 28 remaining in August, October's annual 31, and 11 to start November, it all adds up to one number: 100, the number of days remaining until the Checker Auto Parts 500 Presented by Pennzoil at Phoenix International Raceway.

That's just 14 weeks and two days for race fans from the Valley and beyond to buy NASCAR tickets - which are going fast - for the hottest event in the Arizona autumn. April PIR winner Jeff Gordon currently leads the charge in the point standings with a lead of well over 300 points, but when the Chase for the NEXTEL Cup roars into PIR, it could be someone else looking confidently over the field with the championship on the line.

A limited number of Checker Auto Parts 500 Presented by Pennzoil race tickets are still available in the Bobby Allison Grandstands overlooking Turns 1 and 2 at $82 each. Each seat in the Bobby Allison Grandstands is equipped with a comfortable seatback and provides a picturesque view of all of the on-track action.

Fans can take in the high-speed view of PIR's turns with seats in the Foyt (Turn 1) or Petty (Turn 4) Grandstands. Tickets there showcase great views of the pits and late-lap action for $87 and $62.

With so much on the line in the Chase for the NEXTEL Cup, the Checker Auto Parts 500 Presented by Pennzoil is sure to feature a tight finish. Whether it's Kevin Harvick backing up his win from November 2006, Jeff Gordon providing a repeat of his spring heroics, or a totally new face driving to Victory Lane, fans can absorb it all from the Bryan Grandstands at PIR's start/finish line for $72.

If the backstretch is your favorite place to watch a race, then make your way to Grandstands 3 and 5. Tickets are available for $55 and $35 each - that's a value!
