10 Former PIR Winners Entered in SUBWAY Fresh Fit 500™

With the SUBWAY Fresh Fit 500™ NASCAR NEXTEL Cup Series race at PIR just several days away, 10 former Phoenix International Raceway NEXTEL Cup Series winners will enter the field at PIR for just the second time in PIR's 20-year NEXTEL Cup history.

10 winners also entered the starting field at PIR in November 2006.

Past winners entered for Saturday night's running of 312 laps at the base of the Estrella Mountains are the following drivers:

- Mark Martin (No. 01 U.S. Army Chevrolet - 1993 winner)

- Ricky Rudd (No. 88 Snickers Ford - 1995)

- Dale Jarrett (No. 44 UPS Toyota - 1997)

- Tony Stewart (No. 20 The Home Depot Chevrolet - 1999)

- Jeff Burton (No. 31 Cingular Wireless Chevrolet - 2000, 2001)

- Matt Kenseth (No. 17 DeWALT Ford - 2002)

- Dale Earnhardt Jr. (No. 8 Budweiser Chevrolet - 2003, 2004)

- Kurt Busch (No. 2 Miller Lite Dodge - April 2005)

- Kyle Busch (No. 5 Carquest/Kellogg's Chevrolet - November 2005)

- Kevin Harvick (No. 29 Shell Pennzoil Chevrolet - April 2006, November 2006)

For the first time, three drivers with multiple NEXTEL Cup wins at PIR will enter the field. They are: Jeff Burton, Dale Earnhardt Jr., and Kevin Harvick.

In all, the champions of 13 of PIR's 21 NEXTEL Cup events will be represented in this Saturday's running of the SUBWAY Fresh Fit 500™ under the lights at PIR.
